Before You Can Bid: How to Register Your Account
The first step to bidding on DinoBids is to create an account.
In order to make an account, click the “Register” button on the main navigation bar. (See below for a screenshot)
On mobile, you’ll find the account section on the menu of the site. To access your account, click on the “hamburger” icon to display the site’s menu, then click “Register”. (Screenshot below)
In order to register, you will need to input your email address, billing address (See payment verification below), and phone number.
You will also need to create a unique username. Make sure you are not putting personal details into your username, as this will be the name other users see on an auction.
Once you submit the registration form, you will need to activate your account. An email will be sent to the address you submitted. Go to your inbox, open the message and click the “Activate” button.
You’re now ready for the next step!
We only want serious bidders in a DinoBids auction, so to set up your account for bidding access, you have to verify that you have a valid debit/credit card on hand.
This step is meant to ensure a positive experience for everyone on DinoBids. Fraudulent bidding can ruin the experience for legitimate users, and we would like to minimize this risk.
To verify your payment information, we have a test product page here:
- Add the test product to your cart
- Go to this page to checkout.
- Input your information and confirm your payment to finish checking out.
- Your account will have a $1 Authorization hold placed on it. Don’t worry about this – no charge will be captured, and the hold will be removed from your account within 2-3 business days. Get in touch with us if you do not see the charge disappearing.
Once you’re done verifying payment details, you’re ready to start bidding!
